I now know what I would "wish," should Make A Wish Foundation only ask.

I saw these balloons all landing when I was passing through Sunny Side on my way to Seattle. I risked my life 4 times as I pulled off the freeway to wonder at them. I know the pictures don't do justice to the feeling of seeing 50 hot air balloons coming in for the landing all at once. It was enchanting. It was stirring. It was crazy exhilarating just watching it. As I drove away, not to pull over again, I simply thought, "Now I know what I would 'wish,' should Make A Wish Foundation only ask."

The minute the thought escaped I laughed because I’m pretty sure Make A Wish Foundation is SOLELY for kids with a debilitating disease or expiration date. I’m not sure why I was even pondering what my Make A Wish wish would be. Maybe it was a residual from my friend Sarah choosing Disneyland for hers before she died of brain cancer when we were in 3rd grade. Whatever the reason, I FINALLY know what I would wish.

I'm so glad you caught your shadow in the first picture.

I remember Sarah's wish being fulfilled. Have you been wondering EVER since what you would wish for?

I have never seen a hotair balloon land. I would have never guessed it could be so thrilling. I'm so glad you saw it.

You will LOVE this youtube video. A) The song is AMAZING and B) Hot air balloons galore! I can just see you now making it full screen and putting on your glasses so you can stare at all the hot air balloons...and then pausing it so you can stare even better. I love you Cali and I MISS you.
