Friendly Competition

Ray and I have a running game of Hand & Foot going.  We started it on January 5th and I'm afraid I have to report that Ray is winning.  Well, I guess I should say Ray is winning the war, but I've dominated him in many a battle.  Actually, I'm not sure how he is winning.  I'm the score keeper though, and do all the adding, so maybe I should check my math.

Anyway, posterity please know:
Ray and I played games...
And sometimes I would be too big of a braggart after winning a hand and was served a slice of humble pie the next...
And Ray is not only a gracious loser, but an even more gracious winner...
And we played for fun, but mostly for stakes; there's a milkshake on the line for this.

Keeping Score

The box of cards... not sure why I thought you needed to see a picture of this, but just incase you did

Luckily we're playing for all of 2012, so I have 10 more months to secure my victory.

Wow. I'm so impressed that you guys make the time for this. What a great thing to do. (I'm glad you took a picture of the card box, too.)

Your dad and I used to play dirty marbles. Until he started cheating.

Rayme and I love to play Hand & Foot. We have a group of friends that we play as often as our schedules allow.

Ha! I love everything about this. This reminds me of the month-long game of monopoly my mother let my brothers and I keep set up on a cardtable in the corner of the living room when I was a kid. (Yes, it was a month long. Yes, it was in the living room. What a patient mother I have...) In the end, I think we called it when the novelty of coming home to a continuing game of monopoly felt like more of an obligation than fun, but a yearlong battle of Hand and Foot? Now, that sounds amazing (and the box of cards is just not nearly as intrusive...). Good luck!
