The Fountain of Youth

I think I had an ancestor that could still do one armed push-ups when he was 90 years old.  Or maybe it was that he could still out arm-wrestle anyone in the county when he was 95.  Or maybe he was 100 years old.  I can't remember the details, but I think I once heard a story and it impressed me.

I think I'll make my impression on the future by being the grandma that could still do flips on the trampoline when she was 105.  I may only have one child to impress with this awesome feat due to a prolapsed uterus, but impressed they will be.

Then, after I'd done my showing off, I let Levin get on for a turn.

I thought your ancestor could run a mile when he was 98. Maybe it was he could still do cart wheels at 68. I can't remember, but all I know is I have a daughter who can still do incredible flips on the trampoline at 29. I promise to remember that trivia because I was impressed.

You have one great photographer to get that shot at the height of the flip. Never mind it took 30 tries.

By the way, your dad liked the toe touch photo best. Want to post it for posterity? It will go in the blog book you know and they'll want to see it.

Thanks for posting and for doing flips and for coming to see us.

LOVE this post. I also enjoy that Levin's hair is staticky. :) Just remember that your younger sister-in-law is no longer able to do flips... and it's been years. Way to go!

Hmm, when we go home to my parents' in a few weeks I might have to try a flip. I fear I'm turning into a 'fraidy cat. I could never do a back flip for fear of breaking my neck (even spotted in gymnastics I panicked), but I could convince myself to front flip. I'll have to try it and get my adrenaline rush. :)

Let's be honest, when I was home last month I was SO proud of myself to jump with the nieces and nephew without wetting myself. Thank you, childbirth.

I love this post too. I'm glad you didn't pee your pants. What a cool mom. I hope Levin learns to do flips soon. That is one cute little boy.

That's impressive! I take it you landed on your feet... which I can't even do. I always land on my butt. What a cute little guy you have. He melts my heart!

I have to admit, I've never even tried a flip because I'm too scared. Maybe you and Levin need to give me a lesson...
