Craftiness
And, while we're on the subject of craftiness, can I just show you my pew and the cushion I made for it?
I got the church pew off of Craig's List. She was asking $50. On the drive over to look at it and possibly buy it, I told Ray I was going to pay no more than $25. It's easy to talk tough before you've seen the seller face-to-face. I paid $40.
I made the seat cushion for it this week. I didn't have a pattern, so I spent 90% of the production time standing in front of and staring at the cushion and fabric. I spent 5% of the production time ripping out seams.
How did I defend the $15 over-pay to Ray on the drive home?
"It's solid oak and only 6 feet long. Do you know how hard it is to find a church pew under 15 feet?"

Dos the fabric look like newsprint? What kind of words does it say? I'd love to see the buttons you put on the back, too.
I think $40 is a steal.
I wonder what church it came from. That would be fun to think of the sermons that bench has listened to and the people it's held.
